My Story

A little about me, my background, and why I do what I do.

Over the past five years, I've dived into a wide range of projects, from health and fitness to the fast-paced world of online betting and entertainment. Each project, whether a smashing success or a valuable learning curve, has shaped my journey. A career highlight? Collaborating with some of South Africa's leading political figures to bring about meaningful change in a nation that so deeply yearns for it. But beyond the projects, what's special to me are the incredible people I've met along the way. They've inspired me, pushed me, and reminded me why I do what I do. 

I'm driven by a deep passion for my work. To me, it's not just about finding solutions. It's about diving into the heart of a problem, uncovering game changing insights, and creating something that connects with people. And to have fun whilst doing it!

I've found that many of the best insights come directly from the horse's mouth, whether it's through consumer ethnographies or stakeholder interviews. I'm adept at fostering research environments where ideas and opinions thrive, and where game-changing insights naturally bubble up in engaging back-and-forth conversations.

Skilled in matching these brand narratives with effective communication plans, my capabilities cover everything from brand building to customer acquisition, retention, key retail interactions, and engaging user experiences. All of this is adapted to leverage the ever-changing world of media and technology.

Utilising everything from digital marketing platforms to simple Google searches, and of course, the more sophisticated big data research tools. I've developed both a keen eye for compelling insights that drive creative work forward, and a strong pulse on trends across categories.

BUSINESS STRATEGY & FORECASTING

Somewhere along the way, we have fallen further away from our remit of growing businesses. No questions about why this brief, and no questioning whether this will deliver results. To me, the business case, is the primary case. Every task must be in some way connected to customer acquisition, retention, or efficiency, (incl. brand work) whether short, medium, or long-term. Consequently, I've mastered understanding business metrics, delivering forecasts, and determining customer lifetime value and acquisition costs.

MEASUREMENT & FRAMEWORK DEVELOPMENT

I excel in distilling complex concepts into clear, understandable frameworks, providing crucial 'aha' moments for clients. My expertise lies in integrating data and identifying patterns to develop advanced tracking systems, offering real-time insights and evaluating the long-term success of our advertising and communication initiatives.
